Welcome to First Parish Unitarian Universalist,

Medfield, Massachusetts!

We proudly announce

 The Reverend Meg Soens:

FULL TIME Minister.

Rev. Meg Soens is a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School.  She is a social justice activist, a former securities analyst, and a wife and mother of four.  She was ordained in 2012.  After spending quality time with Rev. Meg both in and out of church, we have found her to be a candidate with remarkable warmth and spirit, and an excellent fit for our church.

After our service on May 5, the congregation voted unanimously to call Rev Meg as our full-time minister.

First Parish welcomes people of all traditions, beliefs, and religious backgrounds to its services and religious education program.

Services during the church year are Sundays at 10:00 AM from September through early June; childcare is available; and our Sanctuary is fully handicap accessible.

Upcoming services:

May 19, 2013                                        "Do Machines Dream?"                   Rev. Richard Stower

Our thirst for knowledge and for understanding, can, if taken to an extreme, rob us of the mysterious, and fool us into thinking that, all mysteries can be solved if only we try hard enough. To a certain degree that has already happened. We see the earth not as the home for ourselves and the world’s other forms of life, but as a means to an end – and not the end itself. This has everything to do with what we think of the world around us.

May 26, 2013                                              "Wonder and Worship"                   Rev. Richard Stower

The question we might often ask ourselves is why do we come to church? What is it that draws us out of our homes on one of the two days most of us have set aside for rest from all the fret and fever of the days of the past week? One of the Biblical commandments is to honor the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. But we may ask ourselves, "What for?"
